Hi I'm a 36 teay old mom of an 11 year old son named Andrew. Many of the deaths on the bcmets board hit me really hard this year too. I cried for a long time over both Senga and Perlie. Senga and I had emailed back and forth a lot so was very hard letting go of her. When Allie died earlier in 2005 it hit me hard also as she was so alive and fought so hard. Losing Julie and Karen and some of the others just adds to it all. I was diagnosed with mets Jan 3 2005 but they were there for probably 6 months prior to that just not found for reasons not worth discussing as it is water under the bridge now. I am mainly on the list to hear of anything new in terms of treatments people have tried and to try and buck myself up that there are some long term survivors of mets out there when I feel low. The arguing gets to me too sometimes as I do not understand the need for it I am depressed enough fighting my cancer and do not need to be upset with others who are also in a bad position as well.

I think it is difficult enough to deal with cancer-let alone the magnitude of life issues.  And, I am full agreement with you..why fight when your energy is depleted enough?
