Hello, I am 37 years young and live in Colorado.  I was originally dx with stage IIIA bc in 10/2002....had mastectomy, 4 a/c, 4 taxotere, and 33 rads.  Found out I carry the BRAC2 gene mutation and had surgery to remove left breast, totaly hysterectomy and DIEP reconstruction.  I have a wonderful husband(John) and two incredible little girls(Madison and Sydney)that are both 8 years old for about four more weeks....they are 10 1/2 months apart.....  

I was re-dx with liver mets in 5/2006 and am currently undergoing treatment on a Phase II clinical trial using Alimta(Pemetrexed)/Gemzar.  Treatment is every two weeks and causes quite a bit of fatique and nausea that is controlled with zofran and accupuncture.  So far, my tumors are shrinking and I'm showing favorable results.  

I was more of a lurker on the bcmets website and really would like to focus on research, experiences, support, and having positive kind words for one another.  I'm happy to be a part of this new place to find encouragement and support.
