seen, they are present with you.

smile/@@@.gif OK, my other post went to the correct place, so here it goes.  First off, I just want to say I miss spell-check real bad.

I was dx'd with locally advanced bi-lateral IBC in 1-2000, after being told I was fine for 14 months from the time I KNEW there was a problem.  Huge tumors bi-laterally, with the left side tumor even bigger than the right. Stage IIIc, ER/PR-, HER2+++, & many, many + nodes bi-laterally. All my path reports indicated my prognosis as poor/unfavorable.  All those testing scores on my cancer cells were the worst of the worst.  Did the whole year of 2000 in tx with chemo, surgery, more chemo, bi-lateral rads and still more chemo. But in 6-2002, as all the drs predicted, 'it' was back in the form of skin mets.  Started more chemo, and also was finally given Herceptin which continued till 10-03.  The skin mets were not responding to chemo, so I made the executive decision to halt chemo, stay with weekly Herceptin & use the topical palliative tx Miltex.  For the last year, my skin mets have been progressing to the point of too numerous to count small nodules scattered about my upper torso. My PET scans indicate a very enlarged node in my neck which lights up big time...but it has not been dx'd as malignant.  I am having some very odd vomiting episodes, and other GI problems, so I have scheduled an appt w/ a GI dr.

I've been married to a very hard-working man for 27 years, and we have 4 kids: ages 14 thru 22.  3 girls and 1 boy--2 in college & 2 in hi-school. All still at home & really great kids. I am so blessed to have my sweet family.

So, that's me.   smile/kneu_monster.gif Or should I say THIS is me!!

Time, hope & prayers,
Mary Fatima
